Allotment holders in Tenby have received further backing from town councillors in a bid to retain their current site situated at St. John's Hill. Councillors agreed at their meeting on Tuesday evening to write to Pembrokeshire County Council objecting to their proposal to move the gardens to a new site at Brynhir, a suggestion that allotment holders were opposed to. Clr. Mike Evans also stated that the town council should write to the new environmental minister at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff with their objections. "We need to make it clear that we're calling for the allotments to be retained and for further spaces to be gained for people on the waiting list," said Clr. Evans.
