The 'Tea for Tenby' Lifeboat Station appeal was given an unexpected boost during Sunday's open day, when 21-year-old Rachel Coster handed over a cheque for £626.

Rachel, from Bedford, collected the sum by saving her babysitting money for a year.

The £20,000 local appeal to help raise funds for the new station is continuing to receive generous donations and lifeboat operations manager, Fred Broomhead, thanked Rachel and the many organisations for their contributions so far.

Rachel and Fred are seen at the construction site for the new lifeboat building.
