Babs The Bluebird returned to Pendine Sands last week to mark 90 years since the racing car claimed the world land speed record.

The Sunbeam broke the record in 1926 at 171mph, with John Parry-Thomas behind the wheel, smashing previous records set by Malcolm Campbell in 1925 in Pendine, and Henry Seagrave at Southport the following year.

Babs, now owned by the National Motor Museum, returned to Pendine for a demonstration display, drawing in the crowds.
