Friday, May 12, sees the B Movie Heroes play at Narberth's Queen's Hall. What exactly makes B Movie Heroes just so damn special? The fact this quartet has the ability to pen a decent song - something that's all too often being ignored in today's music! B Movie Heroes are indeed the perfect antidote to the interchangeable, style-obsessed rock songs that's clogging up the airwaves right now! Combining a wall of guitars, pulsating rhythms, and a myriad of harmonies, B Movie Heroes possess all the ingredients to produce the best classic hard- hitting stomp-along anthems heard in aeons. Now signed to Undergroove Records (My Ruin, Johnny Truant, Aerogramme, Trashlight Vision), 2006 is shaping up to be the most exciting year for the B Movie Heroes to date. The first installment was the 'Still No Surrender' EP (released on March 13), and the band are due to follow this with their debut album, 'Calibrate', on June 5. Work on the full-length - tentatively titled 'Calibrate' - began on January 9 at Mighty Atom Studios, Swansea, with acclaimed producer Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Jane's Addiction, Johnny Truant, The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg) at the studio helm. Upon its release, B Movie Heroes intend to take their music to the masses in the only way they know how - in the back of their trusty van! And it's their solid work ethic involving incessant touring - both in the UK and Europe - and releasing numerous CDs to critical acclaim - that has made the Worcester quartet what they are today.
