At this month’s meeting of the Tenby and District Lions meeting the secretary, Nick Stapleton, was presented with the Lions Club International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.

This is awarded to those who have done outstanding work for the community through the Lions Club.

Nick has been a member of Tenby and District Lions Club for 22 years and for most of that time he has been secretary. His role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the club and he is the liaison between the club and District and International Lions.

Members nominated Nick Stapleton for this award in recognition of his service to the club and the local community over many years. Nick is always the first to offer to go that extra mile to help others.

This award was presented by the president of Tenby and District Lions, Derek MacGarvie, on behalf of the chairman of the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
