PEMBROKESHIRE'S Public Libraries are hosting three days of author workshops this month.
Aiming to consolidate upon the excellent response to this year's Reading Challenges, Rollercoaster and Helterskelter, over 600 children from 26 local schools will be given the opportunity to meet a local author or storyteller and to share their reading experiences with other children.
Today (Friday), the author Rob Lewis will be providing sessions for eight local schools at Pembroke Dock Library. Rob Lewis, author of the Grandpa series of books, is popular with children from the younger age bracket.
Thursday, June 14, sees Nicola Davies visiting Fishguard Library. Nicola, author of 'Tangled Webs' and 'Everything Happens On Mondays', will be meeting schools from the north of the county, who have been busy reading her books in preparation.
On Tuesday, June 19, the storyteller Michael Harvey will be visiting Haverfordwest Library for sessions to 11 schools. Michael will be providing sessions on the theme of folk legends, which will complement the summer literary theme of myths and legends.
