In a tight, keenly contested local derby, Narberth had a lead of one point at the interval, which they retained until the final whistle.
Skipper Gary Nicholas gave the Athletic team the lead with a try converted by outside-half Richard Morris, while the Wanderers scored two penalties. One was scored by Scott Penney and the other by Wayne Morris.
It was nip and tuck throughout the second half. Wayne Morris did have three penalty opportunities, the last of which in the closing stages of the game hit the posts.
For the Athletic team, flanker David Thomas and centre Gary Nicholas had excellent games.
