Two artistic presentations that opened in Tenby last weekend have been praised by local councillors.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Paul Rapi said that he had visited the opening preview night of Mani Street Preachers musician Nicky Wire’s exhibition at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.

“It was a really nice evening and Nicky and James from the band were there to open the exhibition. Tenby has really been hitting above its weight recently!” he said.

His colleague Clr. Trevor Hallett said that it had also been a joy for Tenby to be a part of the National Theatre Wales production of Tide Whisperer which was performed in the resort over four days.

“It was a brilliant performance by the team and all those involved, and once again out Tenby on the map,” he said.

Nicky Wire’s exhibition ’Paintings and Polaroids’ runs until October 21.
