A forthcoming exhibition of paintings at The Gallery in Picton Castle, Haverfordwest, showcases the work of a well-known Tenby face.

Since retiring from driving the horse and carriage ride in Tenby and having trained as an artist at Llanelli School of Art and Cardiff College of Art many years ago, John Dooner has spent a lot of his time behind the canvas.

"I have spent most of my time painting, which naturally has revolved around horses. This is now the time I feel to let people see some of my work," he said.

The exhibition will take place from today (Friday) until August 30, while John will also have a stand with prints and cards at the County Show.
