Are the planning policies of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park helping or hampering the local economy?

If you have any views on the subject then Simon Hart MP is inviting you to join him at a special planning surgery that he is hosting in Tenby later this month.

He has already invited planning consultants, developers and builders to the event being held at Augustus Place Community Centre at 2 pm on Thursday, May 23.

Mr. Hart has set-up the meeting in order to get a broader picture of the frustrations - and highlights - of coping with planning policy in the National Park.

"Over recent months I have had more and more people coming to me with experiences of dealing with National Park planning policy.

"This has ranged from developers with multi-million pound building projects, to architects to self employed carpenters and builders.

"I am concerned at the feedback that I am getting that some policies - the affordable housing element in particular - is holding up development and costing Pembrokeshire jobs and investment.

"If anyone has any specific examples that they can bring to me to illustrate their views, favourable or otherwise, then I would be grateful if they could bring them to the meeting.
