This year, Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday started very wet and misty. Despite the adverse weather conditions, it was decided to just go for it and hope for the best. And that's exactly what happened, the very best of our local musical talent sang and played and entertained the very appreciative audience that had gathered to hear them on Tenby's Castle Hill.

The day had been organised by Ann Rowell, Al Davey, Bruce Campbell and Alex Wilson as a fun fund-raiser for the Tenby Arts Festival that will be held in September.

It was a very full day; the crew were up preparing the bandstand as from 7 am! The bands were playing from 2 pm until 10 pm. Once more the musicians showed their support of the Arts Festival by kindly playing for free. And a bucket collection realised a fantastic £330 towards costs and festival funds in a most enjoyable way!

During the day visitors were entertained by a variety of talented local bands - Alabama Cowboys, Voodoo Armpit, Pete Winter, Rain Kings, Cottonmouth, Gypsy and Taffy, Alistair Campbell and 8 Ball.

A big thank you to all the people who so kindly gave of their time and support to make the day such a success, especially to Bruce Campbell for loaning so much of the equipment, and the roadies Alex Wilson, Lemmy and Lee Mason who erected the awning around the bandstand, and brought up all the equipment! Well done everyone!

Thanks also go to Carl Evans the harbourmaster, Tenby Police, all the residents around the hill and Rosie Swale.
