With a 3 kilometre adults fun run and a 5 kilometre short course for children the event proved to be another success for the organisation.
The children’s race started at 11.45 am with a range of age groups making the most of the good weather to sprint round the street circuit.
The main fun run started at 12 noon with around 80 Santa’s taking on the course round the town and harbour.
The route took in the beautiful sweep of the harbour and the sea before looping back round the north walk and up to the church.
All entrants got to keep their Santa suits and a medal (sponsored by Blueberry’s Café, Tenby) to show they had completed the course.
Tenby Chairman Dan Cope said of the event: “We’re delighted to have hosted this event again in Tenby, we had a good turnout of competitors and thankfully the weather was kind to us.
“I’d like to thank all our volunteers and my fellow members of Tenby Round Table, specifically the subcommittee who organised the event, Joost Geertman, Ieuan Rowell, Matt Broadhurst and Ed Spence.
“We’re delighted to announce that this year the event looks to have made over £1,000, which we will donate to local charities and causes,” he added.
The event will return in 2019. Keep updated by following the ‘Tenby Santa Run’ Facebook page.
