On Sunday last, the Sunday School Anniversary Services were held.

The afternoon programme was given by the Sunday School Scholars, with items as follows:

Opening prayer - Rev. D. Davies; congregational hymn - 'Jesus Bids us Shine'; scripture reading - Mrs. Linda Richards; musical item - 'Kum Ba Yah' and 'He's got the Whole World'; recitation - Jonathan Richards and Holly Adams; solo - Leah Thomas; Sunday School Choir - 'He brought me to His Banqueting House'.

Duet - Holly Adams and Sarah Greener; musical item - Charlotte Treharne and Adam Calvert; recitation - Emily Tranter; instrumental item - Lauren Arthur; recitation - Thomas Arthur; instrumental item - Jack Tranter; recitation - Rachael Calvert; Sunday School Choir - 'Everybody join in Singing'.

Solo - Kane Thomas; recitation - Adam Calvert; instrumental item - Sophie Arthur; solo - Charlotte Treharne; recitation - Leah Thomas; instrumental item - Emily Tranter; solo - Rachael Calvert; primary scholars - 'Praising God'; Sunday School Choir - 'Down by the Riverside'.

The president for the service was the Rev. Donald Davies. Mrs. Elizabeth Treharne conducted the choir, and the accompanist was Mrs. Jayne Calvert, assisted by Mrs. Vanessa Thomas, Adam Calvert and Charlotte Treharne. Mrs. Val Evans and Mrs. Katrina Arthur accompanied family items.

During the afternoon, a presentation of a hymn book was made to Rachael Calvert by the Rev. Davies on the occasion of her 18th birthday.

The evening service was given by the Adult Choir and was again presided over by the Rev. Davies.

Ladies part piece - 'Search me, O God'; choir - 'Nearer my God to Thee'; recitation - Rachael Calvert; double quartet - Katrina Arthur, Olwen Palmer, Janice Scourfield, Roslyn Winstone, Trevor Griffiths, Philip Thomas, Terry Brace and Cyril Cole; duet - Mrs. Elizabeth Treharne and Mrs. Jayne Calvert.

Men's part piece - 'Standing on the Promises'; choir - 'Will you meet me at the Fountain'; recitation - Mrs. Jayne Calvert; solo - Mr. Robert Scourfield; ladies part piece - 'O, Holy Spirit'; duet - Rev. Davies and Mr. Stewart Treharne; choir - 'How Excellent'.

The choir was conducted and accompanied by Mrs. Val Evans, assisted by Mrs. Vanessa Thomas and Adam Calvert on the guitar.

There will be no Sunday School for the next two Sundays.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the Sunday School barbecue will be held at 3 pm.

This Sunday morning, the service will be taken by the Rev. Roger Thomas, of Aberystwyth, with the Rev. Ifor Williams, of Broad Haven, taking the evening service.

The weekly coffee morning will be held on Thursday morning, 10.30 am to 12 noon.

A Christian welcome is given to all to join in worship with friends at Pisgah.
