This year's Tenby Arts Festival will be featuring local musical talent in a number of events. One example is 'Anniversaries and Ceremonies', an evening of mainly sacred music at St. Mary's Church, Tenby, on Sunday, September 19. Those taking part include the Griffon Choir, St. Mary's Church Choir and Tenby United Churches Choir. Choral works by Handel (Zadok the Priest and Hallelujah Chorus), Vivaldi (excerpts from Gloria), Purcell, Bach and Roger Quilter will be performed. This is an anniversary year for several composers, including Dvorak, Elgar and Holst. Pieces by them and others will form part of this wide-ranging programme.
