On a cold, but sunny day, there was a great turnout for the Captains Table Challenge match organised by Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club. A total of 21 anglers fished, including seven juniors, and out of those, 11 managed to bring fish back to the scales. Winner of the Captains Table Cup and £100 was Mike James with a flounder of 500g; 2nd and £50 with the heaviest bag of 1.63kg was Jon Brace; and 3rd with £25 with a bag of 860g was Mel Matthews. The committee would like to thank all the juniors who fished; it's not easy, especially on cold winter's morning - well done. Many thanks also go to Ian, of the Captains Table, for sponsoring this match. Nxt match is this Sunday, February 12, at Pendine, 1 - 5 pm. Sign on in the car park, 12 - 12.15; scales close at 6 pm. The club would also to thank Gwen and Billy Deakin and the Pound Shop (Saundersfoot) for donating towards the Fur n Feather. Sorry you were missed in the last report.

Mike James is seen being presented with the Captains Table Cup by Dave Worth, manager of the Captains Table.
