The Friends of South Pembs. Hospital has, once again, to thank all the people who came to their 'Event' on the morning of Tuesday, May 8.

It was an 'Event', not just a coffee morning and table top sale, because they invited local very skilled crafts people to set up their displays in Pembroke Town Hall, together with Pembroke Lions.

The Friends are only too well aware that money can be a problem in this financial climate, and so the stall holders offered quality goods at realistic prices, resulting in, they are glad to say, very satisfied customers.

The Friends not only have to thank local people for their support, but holidaymakers, who admired their display boards, compared them with their own similar groups and even envied the hospital services.

They hope to repeat this 'Event' in Pembroke Town Hall on the morning of Tuesday, June 12, and the second Tuesday of every month thereafter, when they open the doors to not only crafts people, but anyone wishing to take part in the table top sale. The Friends are also preparing for their annual summer fete, which will be as ever a truly enjoyable event, and is held in the hospital grounds and day centre on the afternoon of Saturday, July 28. Don't forget to look out for posters and radio ads and the full page spread in this, your local 'paper.
