A quiz night in Amroth has raised over £500 for charity.

Each month, Ian and his wife Amon, of the Temple Bar Inn, run raffles, bingo and weekly quizzes for a specific charity and July’s charity was PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship).

This charity was nominated by an outreach youth worker with Pembrokeshire Youth Services as they often use the charity for young people who have for example, experienced homelessness and who have been supported by the team during their transition from disengagement into education, employment and training.

A cheque of £557.51 was presented to Tracey Olin, of PATCH, at the quiz on Wednesday, July 26.

Next month’s charity event will raise money for Tenovus.

The Temple Bar hold bingo every Tuesday at 7.30 pm and quiz nights on Wednesday at 7.30 pm.
