The village of Amroth welcomed the popular Pembrokeshire choir, Tempus, last Sunday afternoon, when the village was filled with the sounds of their beautiful music.

They had a wide repertoire of songs appealing to all ages and they were supported by locals and holidaymakers around the flag-pole on the promenade.

The event was blessed with lovely sunshine and people enjoyed craft, bric-a-brac stalls and delicious pork rolls, along with the wonderful singing.

The event was in aid of the Tenby, Saundersfoot and District Macmillan Cancer Support group and everyone was most generous with their support for this very deserving cause, throughout the afternoon.

A special 'thank you' must go to Amroth local businesses, The Osborne Shop and Grocery Store and the Pirate Cafe, who helped with practical issues to facilitate the event and with the provision of food and other items, and Andrew Rees, of Narberth, who provided the pork. The organisers are most grateful for their support.

The reason behind an event such as this must not be forgotten however, which is to raise much-needed funds to help individuals and families who are coping with cancer.

All monies raised go to assisting the people of Pembrokeshire and this work can only be sustained with the unstinting help of volunteers who give freely of their time and energy to fund-raising events throughout the year.

Anyone who would like to join them would be very welcome.
