'Make time for breakfast, especially if it's a locally produced one' is the message from local AM Christine Gwyther during this week's Farmhouse Breakfast Week (January 22 - 29).

The Farmhouse Breakfast week is an initiative sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government to promote both local Welsh produce and a better, healthier start to the day.

Christine said: "I fully support this initiative to get more of us back to the breakfast table for a nutritious locally sourced breakfast.

"A balanced morning meal is important for our health and especially important for school children to get a good healthy start to the day.

"Here in Pembrokeshire, we can enjoy the best of high quality, fresh and local food for a balanced breakfast.

"I will be supporting Pembrokeshire farms and local business by buying locally - which is also good for the environment. I would like to encourage as many people as possible to try out our local foods this week and make their breakfast a healthy Pembrokeshire Farmhouse Breakfast."
