Pembroke came alive to all the fun of the fair last weekend when the annual Michaelmas Fair brought some autumn cheer to Main Street.

The mild autumn weather saw very large crowds during all three days with both young and old enjoying the attractions.

Following the reading of the 'Cry of the Fair' by the Town Crier, Clr. Rose Blackburn, the fair was opened on Thursday evening by the Mayor of Pembroke, Clr, Gareth Jones and blessed by Reverend Roger Jones.

During the official reception at Pembroke Town Hall, Teddy Holmes, a past chairman of the Showmen's Guild thanked the people of Pembroke for their warm welcome and he hoped that the fair will return to Pembroke for many generations to come.
