Miss Helen Watson brings a brand new little bit of what you fancy to the Torch Theatre tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) - featuring naughty but nice songs of yesteryear presented in traditional Music Hall, Vaudeville and Variety style.

If you enjoyed the show last year, you’ll love this this one too - with plenty of new songs and dances and some new faces too, including performers from television and the West End.

Maggie Beckit, Peter John and - of course - Miss Watson herself - all make a welcome return with plenty of innuendo in tow... and new faces include Chris Vincent - fresh from the West End and Jim McManus (‘Hornblower’, Dr. Don’t in Davina McCall’s ‘Don't Try This At Home’ and ‘Beadle’s About’).

Devised and directed by Miss Helen Watson (a performer who before last year’s show had last appeared on stage at the Torch over 15 years ago, with a young Peter Doran, current artistic director, in ‘The Heiress’) - the evening will be a melodious magical, musical and mirthful trip down memory lane, with plenty of comedy capers!

Miss Watson’s career has spanned all aspects of the entertainment industry, from TV roles to theatre, cabaret, Music Hall and directing. She has directed some of the ‘Late Joys’ productions at the famous Players Theatre in London, where she also performs regularly.

Helen’s own company began in 1987 at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury. Her productions of ‘A Little of What You Fancy’ have played to packed houses from Oxford Playhouse to a Christmas version at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff.

Helen has spent many seasons in rep in regional theatres around the country, with roles as diverse as Janet Weiss in ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ to the classic ‘Hedda Gabler’.

The evening is guaranteed to be an extravaganza of effervescent entertainment - suitable for all ages.

And as they say - a little of what you fancy does you good!
