Tenby adventurer Rosie Swale Pope is busy, busy, busy!

Taking delivery of her book, 'Just a Little Run around the World', in Polish, this week, Rosie is about the embark on a hectic schedule of talks around Britain and beyond. One talk is in Portugal and she is being flown over just for the day.

Before that, she will be spending time with her son and daughter who are celebrating birthdays this weekend, which also coincides with the anniversary of her returning to British soil in 2008 following her epic world challenge.

"I will be flying the flag of Tenby on my travels," she told us this week.

Rosie also took part in the Wales Marathon, recently held as part of the Long Course weekend.

"The Wales Marathon was the best of the best," she said.

Although not fully fit enough to run a full 26.2-mile marathon, Rosie was assisted by St. John Ambulance volunteers, Aeron and Matthew.

"I shouldn't have done it really, but having done the Mull of Kintyre 10K, I thought I would be OK. I was overwhelmed by the reception I received. I thought everyone would have gone home by the time I crossed the finishing line, but the cheering crowds were fantastic, as were the triathletes and runners who ran with me."

Rosie now has a bike thanks to Mike's Bikes which she will be using to get fully fit for her next challenge - pulling her trusty home on wheels, Icebird, to London, for its annual visit. This will be followed by a parachute jump. Rosie is raising money for the Marie Curie charity, but she will also be saluting all the other good causes who help people with cancer.

Rosie is also delighted by the number of nominations she has received to carry the Olympic torch.

"I am very honoured and surprised people have nominated me," she said.

When Rosie returns from her series of talks, she will be returning to London with members of the campaign group to save Milford Haven Coastguard who will be visiting Downing Street as part of their plight to safeguard services.
