This was the scene in Amroth early on Wednesday morning when the high tide was captured on camera crashing over the seafront by Kate Heathcote who has been staying with her mum in New Hedges.

And it was a same story on Wednesday night as the high tide, backed by a strong winds, returned to send more towering waves tumbling over the exposed village road, which was left littered with stones and debris. Neighbouring Wisemans Bridge was similarly affected.
