Sir,

Having recently been elected as the County Councillor for the Penally ward, I have the privilege of supporting and representing the community councils of Penally and the New Hedges council of St. Mary Out Liberty at County Hall. In the short time I have been involved with these community councils, it is very clear to me that both are unique and equally committed to serving the communities they represent.

Individuals who dedicate their time and expertise to maintain and improve our way of life are a vital part of British society.

Following the May local council elections, Penally Community Council continues to have a vacancy for one community councillor.

Readers of the Tenby Observer who may be interested in becoming a member of Penally village council are invited to contact the clerk to the council, Mr. Jon Everett, on (01834) 811470, who will be able to provide advice on the application process. Alternatively, I can be contacted at the address or number shown below.

We would also welcome applications from younger members of the village. These members can attend and be actively involved in the council meetings. This could be an ideal opportunity for a student who has aspirations in the political field to gain experience to complement his or her studies. Contributions from younger villagers would be a valuable addition at council meetings and are most welcome.

We look forward to meeting you soon.

Jonathan S. Preston,

County Clr. for Penally and St. Mary Out Liberty,

5 Holloway Court,

Penally
