The British Red Cross shop in Tenby is in urgent need of donations. The charity shop relies on donations from members of the public in order to raise valuable funds to help vulnerable people in crisis in the UK and abroad.

Gillian Couch, Red Cross shop manager, said: “As spring approaches many people will be clearing out their cupboards. We’d be very grateful if local people could drop off a bag of unwanted items at the Red Cross shop. Clothing, discarded gifts, housewares, books and DVDs can all be converted into income.”

The shop also accepts second-hand textiles (like linen or curtains etc). If they are in good condition, they can be sold in the shop. If they are no longer useable, they can be sold to textile merchants, thereby still raising money for the Red Cross.

The Red Cross is also always looking for volunteers, both to help out in Red Cross shops or in a range of other roles in the area. To find out more, please ask at the shop or visit www.redcross.org.uk/volunteering.

The Red Cross offer a number of services in the Pembrokeshire and surrounding areas.
