Sir,

Given the recent past paucity of information about the activities of St. Florence Community Council, readers of last week's Tenby Observer would I'm sure have been, as was I, delighted to see almost a full page write up of April's council meeting.

However, upon closer inspection, what those who didn't actually attend the meeting will not be aware of is that the selective one-sided write-up misses the elephant in the corner of the council chamber that has been raised at the past three meetings that I have attended; there is no reference to the financial concerns that continue to dog the current administration.

And while it may suit the leaders of the council to play down this bad news that has resulted in the council's failure to file its Annual Return for the past three years, the electorate has a right to know what is their council tax being spent on.

Readers may also want to know, given the concerns raised about funding in April's meeting, what figures were used to set the Precept less than a quarter ago and how at the end of the financial year the council is still sitting on almost £10,000 in the bank.

Robert Hughes,

The Coach House,

St. Florence.
