Music and protest are often related: most people can probably think of at least one protest song that they know and love (often John Lennon's 'Imagine').

The two will be drawn together again in Tenby this weekend to protest against the axing of funding for instrumental lessons at Greenhill School.

The event is known as 'Sing your support"' and everyone who feels strongly about this matter is invited to come, join in, and raise their voice against the decision.

About 40 people attended a preliminary gathering on Tuesday evening, and seemed to have a very good time. Hopefully this will be just a tiny fraction of the number who will attend on Saturday, and as such just a tiny fraction of the fun too!

The plan is to rehearse (yes, rehearse!) between 1 and 4 pm and then go outside to sing at 5 pm. The hope is to attract as much attention as possible to the cause.

If you don't like the idea of singing, be there anyway, tell people about it, and draw as much of a crowd as you possibly can.

Come - tell the BBC, ITV, S4C, Sky, the newspapers, the Assembly, the council, and the MP that you are coming. It will be great fun with a serious cause.

It's 1-5 pm tomorrow (Saturday) at St. Mary's Church, Tenby.
