Sir,

On Thursday, February 9, at about 1.30 pm, I arrived at Tenby railway station. The weather was bracing to say the least; I was almost blown away walking up the footpath towards Tenby centre.

As I looked up, a very smartly dressed gentleman appeared, who was walking downwards, and then stepped off the pavement as we spotted each other.

Instinctively, I stepped onto the road to let the gentleman pass. We then acknowledged each other and just talked about the ferocity of the wind etc, explaining where I had travelled from, being Wrexham, NE Wales.

Ironically, we found we both have relations in Llanddewi Velfrey and I have just received a copy of the Narberth and Whitland Oberserver from my aunt which features Mr. Elwyn Bowen.

I would just like to say what a delightful experience it was to have met such a lovely gentleman and I send him my best wishes.

Valmai Evans,

Wrexham
