As part of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery's programme of events for National Archaeology Day, a special lecture entitled 'Mosaics of Rome: Splendour of the Empire' will be given by Tenby archaeologist, Dr. Mark Merrony.

The talk will be held in the Wilfred Harrison Gallery, Tenby Museum, at 7 pm on Monday. All are welcome.

Next Wednesday, there will also be a hands-on archaeological talk for children.

Entitled 'Flint, Stones and Rubble', it will give children the opportunity to handle archaeological artefacts such as flints, weapons and tools, while learning about life in the area from the Palaeolithic time (c. 40,000 - 10,000 BC), through to the Roman occupation of Wales in the 1st century AD.
