WELL-known communities engagement officer Phil Thompson MBE is to continue his public relations work in Pembrokeshire utilising his many years experience within the industry.
Phil has joined forces with three business development executives and PR consultants to form CIOTEK Events and PR Ltd. - a new and innovative company combining a wealth of knowledge to offer quality community engagement, public and industrial relations solutions to its customers.
Images of Phil presenting cheques and raising funds have frequented the pages of the Tenby, Narberth and Whitland Observer for the past 20 years and he is delighted that he will be retaining his involvement with the community via CIOTEK Events and PR.
Said Phil: "We formed the company just over a year ago having recognised that many organisations benefit from involvement with their communities but need specific advice and guidance in relation to how.
"The directors of CIOTEK Events and PR have specific experience in industrial services sectors, as well as event and charity management, so they appreciate the issues facing organisations and how best they can support their community."
CIOTEK Events and PR Ltd. are already working closely with Alstom, the main contractor building the new power plant in Pembroke.
Phil recently linked up with construction manager Rob Jordan to bring 'That'll be the Day' to Folly Farm which was a roaring success and raised over £12,000 for the RNLI and Wales Air Ambulance.
Phil was awarded an MBE for his work with local communities and commitment to fund-raising and was presented with the title by Princess Anne at the palace in December 2009.
