Sir,

Grateful thanks are extended to everybody who stopped, assisted and helped Clair and I after our accident in the snow at Tuesday lunchtime on our way home from Whitland to Tavernspite:

To the lady from Haverfordwest and her passenger who probably witnessed the whole incident; to Tracy, Charles, the boys from Taf Valley Buses who ran up the hill in the snow to make sure we were ok; the lorry driver who stopped; to all the drivers of cars who stopped; to the policeman (167) who stayed on the 'phone with me until the ambulance arrived; to the paramedics who were very patient (!) with me; to Paula and her assistant who took details of what happened; to the staff at A and E Glangwili who were very efficient in their work; and especially to my husband and son who stopped work to get to us (Rob and Craig).

We're a bit shaken and stirred, but no broken bones.

Your concern and kindness is gratefully appreciated - thank you all.

Carol and Clair Wilson,

Hillcrest,

Tavernspite.
