Tenby RNLI were tasked to two incidents, after receiving a call to assist police officers.
Both lifeboats were requested to launch shortly before 8pm on Saturday, July 26, after a request from Dyfed Powys Police to assist in the search for a missing person thought to be in the Manorbier area.
Both lifeboats made best speed to Manorbier, some six miles west of Tenby.
However, as the all-weather lifeboat was nearing Lydstep, the crew were requested to turn around and go to the aid of three swimmers that had got into trouble near St Catherine's Island off Tenby's Castle beach.
As the lifeboat was arriving on scene, the swimmers were just getting ashore and were no longer in need of assistance, so the lifeboat was requested to continue on to the original tasking off Manorbier.
With both lifeboats now on scene, the all-weather lifeboat searched offshore from Priest's Nose around to Manorbier, whilst the inshore lifeboat did the same search, but close to shore, checking all the bays, rocks and caves.
A police helicopter was also on scene, as were Coastguard teams from Tenby, Dale and St Govans.
Some time later, the Police confirmed that they had found the missing person inland, so all units were stood down to return to station, with the lifeboats arriving back at station at 9.25pm.
Earlier that day, the inshore lifeboat had already been launched just after 5pm, following a report of somebody being cut off by the incoming tide between Monkstone and Swallowtree near Saundersfoot.
The volunteer crew made best speed to the area and were directed towards the casualty by RNLI beach lifeguards on duty at Saundersfoot.
Once onboard the lifeboat, the casualty was dropped ashore at Saundersfoot, where lifeguards were waiting to treat the minor cuts that he had received whilst walking on the rocks.
