A Pembroke Dock teenager has been charged in court after admitting possession of cannabis.
Eighteen-year-old Zak High appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to plead guilty to possessing 5.5 grammes of cannabis in Pembroke on March 15.
Prosecutor Abul Hussain told magistrates that police officers attended Mr. High’s former address in Pembroke to speak to him on other matters and when they conducted a search of the premises they located the cannabis and a grinder.
The defendant told magistrates himself that he had made a ‘stupid mistake’ and that he was now back living with his mother and wanted to get on with his life after securing work in a scrapyard.
Magistrates gave Mr. High a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.
