A Saundersfoot man charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a public place, will go on trial next month after denying the allegation.

Thirty-year-old Richard James Hughes, of Westfield Court, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to plead not guilty to being in possession of a knuckle duster in public, namely Brewery Terrace in Saundersfoot, on February 5.

Mr. Hughes also denied a charge of obstructing a police officer in the execution of their duty.

A trial date was listed for May 3 at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court and he was released on unconditional bail.
