Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating criminal damage to a public beach shelter in Parrog Beach, Goodwick, that occurred between Friday, August 7 and the following day.

A police spokesperson stated: “Suspects have damaged the shelter by spray painting graffiti of a racist nature.

“We do not condone racist or hateful behaviour in our force area, and there is no place for it in our community.

“We are now appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or anyone with information that could help with our investigation to contact us.”

Fishguard and Goodwick Town Council shared: “Very disappointed to see racist graffiti appear on the Parrog shelter, after our Mayor recently painted the shelter.

“We're not posting a picture as it was too offensive.

“The Mayor and Clerk have painted over the graffiti and reported to the police.”

County Councillor for Fishguard North East ward, Cllr Billy Shaw (who represents Plaid Cymru), condemned the culprits, stating: “Well done the Clerk and Mayor for removal of this racist graffiti. We have no place for this in Fishguard and Goodwick, none at all.”
