A incident in Pembrokeshire has highlighted the effectiveness of keeping doors closed within a property, which prevented a fire from spreading to other parts of the premises.
Fire crews responded to a fire within a three-storey property on St David's High Street at 7.32pm on Monday, September 1, consisting of a mixture of commercial and residential properties.
The fire was confined to a laundry room on the property’s first floor.
Crews utilised six breathing apparatus sets, three hose reel jets, thermal imaging cameras and a turntable ladder appliance to extinguish the fire.
After extinguishing the fire, crews were involved in removing debris from the laundry room to avoid re-ignition.
The fire is believed to have started in a tumble dryer in the laundry room.
