A man who breached the requirements of a post-custody supervision order has been re-sentenced.

Twenty-five-year-old, Christopher Gary Jenkins of Valance Walk, Pembroke appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday to admit the charge.

The defendant was summoned to court after he failed to attend appointments on July 7 and September 5 as instructed to do so.

Magistrates heard the original order was made at Swansea Crown Court and was due to finish at the end of March 2020.

Probation officer Julie Norman, added that this was the first breach of the order.

Jonathan Webb, defending said his client had moved to Pembrokeshire from Llanelli as a result of trying to start afresh following the events that led to the original order being issued.

He added that Mr. Jenkins’ finances had been tough, but the defendant had got them sorted by going to the job centre.

Mr. Webb concluded his remarks by saying the defendant was slowly turning his life around.

Magistrates re-sentenced Mr. Jenkins by giving him thirty hours of unpaid work.

On sentencing the defendant, the chairman of the bench, said: “The balls in your court.

“It is in your interest to complete the order.”
