Tenby’s inshore lifeboat the Georgina Taylor was launched at 4.50 pm on Friday (July 16), after the Coastguard received a report from RNLI beach lifeguards that a paddleboarder was being blown offshore by a strong offshore breeze at Pendine.
As they arrived on scene, the volunteer crew found that a local fishing vessel had picked up the casualty and the board and was awaiting the arrival of the lifeboat.
The paddleboarder was taken aboard the lifeboat, along with a lifeguard that had paddled out to help the casualty and then both were returned to the beach at Pendine.
