Tenby and Saundersfoot Community First Responders have been busy of late placing new public access defibrillators around the area.
New locations include the bus shelter at Broadmoor by the Cross Inn pub, East Williamston Community Hall, the Boars Head in Templeton, and also the Co-op Kilgetty.
The Co-op in Tenby will also be having one shortly, whilst the defibrillator outside Tesco in the town’s High Street has now been repaired and is available 24/7 again.
“A big project of ours is placing out defibrillators all across Tenby and Saundersfoot and villages in-between which has been a great success so far, and thanks go to the Co-op Funding scheme, where we received over £5,000 towards this scheme,” explained Luke Treharne charity trustee of the First Responders - a community run organisation set up by the Welsh Ambulance Service who respond to 999 life threatening calls on behalf of the ambulance service.
“We are actively looking for new volunteers to attend 999 calls and provide initial care until ambulance arrives,” he added.
