A motorist is in a critical condition following a two-vehicle road traffic collision near Narberth.

It occurred at approximately 7.40 pm on Monday on the A478 between Narberth and Penblewin near to the entrance of Kiln Park Road.

The vehicles involved were a red Volkswagen Golf and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

The 24-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen Golf sustained serious injury and was conveyed to the Heath Hospital in Cardiff where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or was driving on that road at around the relevant time and saw the red Volkswagen Golf or silver Vauxhall Corsa to call 101.

The Golf was heading in the direction of Penblewin to Narberth and the Corsa was travelling from Narberth towards Penblewin.
