A Pembroke Dock man who admitted headbutting a man in the town and making a threatening phone call to another male, is to appear at Swansea Crown Court next month.

Thirty-year-old Christopher Peter Fry, of Dimond Street, pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting Peter Thies, when he appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, and a separate charge of making a threatening phone call to Lloyd Jarred Small.

Prosecutor Ellie Morgan told the court that Mr. Fry was in breach of a crown court suspended sentence that he’d received last year.

She explained that both incidents occurred on August 6, with the first victim, Mr. Thies, being assaulted outside the Bush Tavern pub, with the victim needing hospital treatment for an undisplaced fracture caused by a headbutt.

The other aspect to the case, Ms Morgan explained to magistrates, occurred later that day when Mr. Fry contacted Mr. Small via telephone and told him ‘never mind who this is, I’m going to stab you and your family and whoever is close to you’ followed by ‘when I get you I’ll headbutt your teeth down your throat’.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and passed it onto Swansea Crown Court, where Mr. Fry, who was released on unconditional bail, will now face a further hearing on February 16.
