A Milford man reported for playing loud music at his home has ended up in court again after police found him to be in possession of cannabis.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jamie William Wilson, of Mount Estate, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to admit a charge of possessing 4.2 grams of cannabis.
Prosecutor Abul Hussain told the court that police officers attended the defendant’s address on November 10, after someone had reported him for playing loud music.
The defendant, who has a long list of previous drugs offences to his name, the court was told, answered the door to officers and handed over the drugs to them, believing that they were there to execute a search warrant.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton told the court that Mr. Wilson’s previous community order had now run its course. He explained that the defendant used cannabis for pain relief, as he had been involved in an accident in the past, that required him to have plates inserted.
Magistrates fined Mr. Wilson £100 for the offence and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
