A dedicated Tenby firefighter has received a ‘long service award’ this week.

On Wednesday (May 24), Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service watch manager, Kris Steele of Tenby, received his 20-year ‘long service award and good conduct’ medal from station manager Stuart MacDonald.

Kris currently works in the Service’s business fire safety department and serves the community of Tenby as an on-call crew manager.

On presenting the award, Stuart MacDonald said: “It’s a pleasure to present Kris with this award.

“This medal is testament to his dedication to his career in the Service and his commitment to our communities.”

Kris remarked: “23 years and still a great job to have!”
