MEYRICK Street in Pembroke Dock has seen a lot of fire service activity of late. At 8.14pm on Saturday, May 16, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Pembroke Dock Fire Station was mobilised to an incident.

Travelling in two fire engines, the crew responded to a property following reports of a smell of gas. A gas monitor detected no readings, and the property was naturally ventilated. Wales and West Utilities were also in attendance.

The crew left the scene at 8.50pm.

Then on Monday, May 18, at 9.27am the crew responded to a smoke alarm sounding within a property of mixed commercial and residential use. The crew attended for 11 minutes. The alarm had been set off during maintenance work.
