Tenby Coastguard Rescue team were paged at 8.44 pm on Wednesday night to reports of a vessel broken free of its mooring and breaking up on Saundersfoot beach.

Upon arrival the team located the vessel and made the area safe.

Information was received that a life raft had been activated as the vessel was breaking up and was floating towards Wiseman’s Bridge.

The coastguard team attempted to locate and retrieve the life raft but unfortunately due to tidal conditions this was not possible.

The team provided safety cover at Saundersfoot beach until the tide receded, before standing down.
