Angle RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was alerted on Sunday to assist a 24-foot motor boat, which had a fouled propeller off Marloes Sands. There were five people on board.

A passing vessel had offered assistance and had started towing the casualty back towards Neyland.

The Tamar class lifeboat Mark Mason rendezvoused with both vessels at 6 pm and it was agreed that the lifeboat would escort the tow into the Milford Haven Waterway.

Once off Chapel Bay, and with both vessels happy with the situation, the lifeboat was released to return to her station, where she was rehoused at 7.06 pm.
