St. Florence WI held their 40th anniversary celebrations at Broadmead Hotel, Heywood Lane, Tenby, last week.
Current president Mary Evans, along with fellow founder members Ruth Brace, Nora Nunn and Valerie Richards, enjoyed a meal along with other members of the institute.
Guests at the meal were county chairman, Mrs. Eireen Perkins, and Mrs. Emirelda Roblin, a former member, who formed the institute at her home of West Hall, St. Florence, on October 15,1963.
A birthday cake was made for the day by Mrs. Elsie Arthur and cut by the oldest member of the institute, Mrs. Margaret Bowling.
"We had an excellent meal and an enjoyable time, on what turned out to be a lovely sunny day," said Mary Evans.
