Right now, some 50 wind farm developments are in varying stages of approval across mid and west Wales. The new turbines will be bigger than ever, towering over our hills as never before. And even building the developments – if approved – will cause chaos on our narrow and choked roads. No wonder then there are growing calls for a moratorium on the projects that use fast-traced planning processes that cut out local councils. MICK O’REILLY investigates.
