July 7 saw Whitland head to Pendine for a First Division fixture.

Whitland, nursing wounds from losing 10-4 to Pembroke Dock on the Thursday before, were keen to get their season back on track with another victory.

Pendine put up great resistance all the way through the game, where leads changed hands several times on many rinks. However, Whitland held on to win the game 73-62 and collect 10 points to four.

Whitland club would also like to congratulate Haverfordwest and Tenby on their further wins in the Carruthers Shield and wish both teams all the best in the next round tomorrow (Saturday).

On Saturday, July 14, Pembrokeshire county had their annual finals day at Whitland Bowls Club.

With 12 finals played during the day, there was some high quality bowling and some very tense and exciting finals.

Whitland club would like to thank all for their support during the day, and thank everyone who helped to make the day a great success.

The club would also like to congratulate all who reached the Pembrokeshire county finals and wish all the best to the victors who will be representing the county in Welsh finals week.
