THE Redwing Inland National Championship 2025 was run by Tenby Sailing Club at Llys y Fran reservoir on 21-22 June.

Dan Jackson reports: “A small but exited group of sailors arrived at Llys-y-Fran reservoir over the solstice weekend to compete in the NRT Consulting National Redwing Inland Championships.

“With glorious weather on Saturday and a beautiful backdrop, race officer Ted Lewis put on five races which were hotly contested.

“The first two races were won by the club-owned Redwing R244, with R249 taking the next three races to lead by one point.

“The longest day was celebrated with most of the fleet camping on site in the magical Preseli hills.

“Day 2 dawned with grey skies and a stiff breeze that was forecast to increase by race time.

“The decision was made to abandon the racing, leaving Saturday’s results to stand.

“Massive thanks to everyone who travelled up, to event sponsor NRT Consulting, hosts Welsh Water, and Tenby Sailing Club.”
